Yes, you will enjoy high-speed WiFi throughout Carrick Gate and in your bedroom. We provide WiFi as a free service during your stay with us.

Yes, at Carrick Gate we are delighted to include a Continental Breakfast for our guests as part of your room rate. Breakfast is served in the Carrick Gate dining room on the ground floor between 8am – 11am.
Due to the layout and historic nature of the building there is no lift available.
We have a King Room (wheelchair friendly) and a Family Room available on the ground floor for guests with mobility issues.
As we are unable to guarantee specific room requests during online booking, please contact us in advance if you have a specific room requirement.

There is a dining area on the ground floor where our continental breakfast is served daily between 08:00 – 11:00.
This dining area remains open until 18:00 and during this time you will have access to tea and coffee making facilities and a hot water boiler. Please observe all safety notices relating to the use of these facilities.

Our rooms have the following configurations of beds:
- King Room | 1 King-size bed
- Twin Room | 2 single beds
- Family Room with Garden View | 1 King-size bed + 1 set of bunk beds
- Family Room with Mountain View | 1 King-size bed + 2 single beds
- Double with Single Bunk | 1 double bed + 1 single bunk (above the double bed)
We cannot add fold out beds or cots to any of our rooms.
Please ensure that if booking an adult to sleep in one of the bunk beds that this will be appropriate. We are unable to make changes due to suitability issues once you are at the property.
We will review any requests for a particular bed type or room location, but such requests are never guaranteed.

We have a King Room available on the ground floor which is wheelchair friendly. It features a bathroom with wider door, a wet-room shower, raised wc and handrails.
As we only have one of these rooms available, it is important that you contact us in advance to check on availability and (if available) to allow us to reserve this room for you.

Our team are on hand to personally welcome guests to Carrick Gate between 15:00 and 18:00 each day. Should you arrive before 15:00 we can arrange for storage of your luggage until your room is ready.
However, it is still possible to self-check-in up until 23:00, once you have arranged it in advance with one of our team.
Should you plan to arrive later than 18:00, or even if that is a possibility, it is important that you contact us in advance by telephone or email, to arrange for collection of your keys.
Arrivals after 18:00 who have not made prior arrangements for the collection of keys will be unable to gain access to Carrick Gate.

Yes, we do offer a luggage storage service for guests up to 17:00 daily.
On arrival check-in is available from 15:00 onwards. Should you arrive earlier we can arrange for storage of your luggage until your room is ready.
At departure check-out time is 11:00 sharp. Should you require it, we can arrange for storage of your luggage until 17:00 at the latest.

Within the village of Carrick there a restaurant located at the Slieve League Lodge Bar on main street. You also have access to Indian and Chinese takeaways in the village.
The Rusty Mackerel Bar and Restaurant in Teelin is a 5-minute drive (or 40-minute walk) from Carrick.
Evelyn’s Central Bar is another popular pub in the village with regular trad sessions.
For great take-away coffee Brew in Thru is located at the Salmon Leap along the Teelin Road. It can be reached on foot (10 minutes walk) via the Carrick River Walk just across the bridge from Carrick Gate.

The Local Link service offers regular daily buses which operate between Donegal Town and Glencolmcille, with pick-ups and drop-offs in Carrick. The journey time is approximately one hour.
